Cookies are simple text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device by a website’s server. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier, website’s domain name, and some digits and numbers. ​

2. Types of Cookies Used on the Application

Our cookies are “first-party cookies”, and can be either permanent or temporary. These are necessary cookies, without which Pinpoint Works won’t work properly or be able to provide certain features and functionalities. We also use "third-party cookies" which are those created by domains other than Pinpoint Works and are  used to provide in-app support and tracking usage analytics. Please read on for more detailed information about our first and third-party cookies.

 

2.1 Functional cookies

Functional cookies used on the Pinpoint Work web application are 1st party and can be either temporary or permanent. They are necessary for the proper function of our web application and, as such, they are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

These cookies include security and user authentication, and user preferences within the app such as saved filters and dashboard layout.

2.2 In-App Support cookies

Our In-App cookies allow us to use a 3rd party through Intercom.com to provide an in-app support feature and give clients access to our Help Centre. The use of these cookies are highly recommended in order for us to provide clients with real-time customer support. These cookies may be turned off by selecting the "cookies settings" option in your User Settings menu and deselecting the 'In App Support' cookies.

2.3 Analytical cookies

These cookies enable us and third-party services to collect aggregated data for statistical purposes on how our visitors use the website. These cookies do not contain personal information such as names and email addresses and are only used to help us improve your user experience of the web app.

We use Google Analytics to collect data for statistical purposes on how our visitors use the Pinpoint Works web app in order to drive product development and improve software performance. While these cookies are optional, they are also highly recommended. These cookies may be turned off by selecting the "cookies settings" option in your User Settings menu and deselecting the 'Analytical' cookies.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies on the Pinpoint Works web app.

3.2 How We Use Cookies on the Marketing Website

  • Session Cookies: Our marketing website is hosted by Wix.com which tracks session and persistent cookies to log certain activities, such as how long a user remains on a certain page of the marketing site. It includes a third-party in-app chat feature which allows visitors to chat with us in real-time.

  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics which allow us to identify unique, but anonymous users. These cookies can also calculate data such as the aggregate number of people visiting our Pinpoint Works marketing website, the pages a user has viewed on the marketing website, and the time spent by users on the Pinpoint Works marketing website. This helps us gather feedback so that we can improve the Pinpoint Works marketing website to provide better information for website visitors. 3.3 Cross Platform Advertising and User Recognition

We also use cookies provided by Facebook (including Instagram) and MailChimp. These cookies operate in different ways but are all used in connection with Pinpoint Works advertising served to a user of the Pinpoint Works Facebook Page (and Instagram Page as Instagram is owned by Facebook), the recognition of such users and the devices used by the user to access Facebook and the Pinpoint Works marketing website. 3.6 Cookies Used on the Marketing Website

  • Wix: This cookie is placed by Wix.com. It enables Pinpoint Works to support a live, in-app chat feature and identify various time indicators, such as session lengths for various pages of our website. For more information about Wix, please click here.

  • MailChimp: This cookie is placed by MailChimp.com. MailChimp uses cookies on the Pinpoint Works marketing website for technical and performance reasons. For example, to deliver newsletters and targeted ads to our client base for purposes of help and support. For more information about MailChimp's cookies, please click here.

  • Google Analytics: This cookie is placed by Analytics.Google.com. It enables Pinpoint Works to learn information about our users use of the Pinpoint Works marketing website such as the time of visit, the pages viewed, whether the user has visited before, and the website visited prior to visiting the Pinpoint Works marketing website.   • Facebook Pixel: This cookie is placed by Facebook.com. It enables Pinpoint Works marketing and social media websites to measure, optimise and build audiences for advertising campaigns served on Facebook. In particular it enables Pinpoint Works to see how our users move between devices when accessing the Pinpoint Works marketing website and Facebook, to ensure that Pinpoint Works’s Facebook advertising is seen by our users most likely to be interested in such advertising by analysing which content a user has viewed and interacted with on the Pinpoint Works website.
